Volunteer Range Safety Officer

Volunteer Range Safety Officer Position Description:

Carson City Parks manages the Carson City Rifle and Gun Range, but utilizes volunteers for the day-to-day operations at the range, including (but not limited to):

• Weed Removal
• Picking up shell casings
• Taking payment for entrance into the range
• Enforcing the rules and policies of the range 
• Answering questions/addressing concerns from range users

Age / Certification and Training Requirements:

• Must be 18 or older
• Volunteers will be trained in accordance with the National Rifle Association Basic Range Safety Officer standard and will receive a certificate once training is completed
